SO YOU STILL BELIEVE TV?

How many nights on ABC, NBC, CBS, MSBNC, FOX, and on and on it goes do we see the poor Palestinians being abused by the Israelis? The reporter is there, the cameraman is there; all seemingly right in the middle of a pitch battle.

But is it true?

Watch this and you decide. Personally Stephen Speilberg would be proud of the production. And, oh..yeah….the production is done by the French. Nuff said!!

The crew of five: Gore, Clinton (2), Dean, Carter constantly travel to foreign soil and denegrate the country that gave them so much. I really think they think this is a game. They really are clueless as to what is coming: The War of the Worlds. (Next blog). And this moron below has no clue that words have consequences. Btw, did any of you hear on any news channel, newspaper, anywhere about AL GORE and his speech to the Arabs? Now, how much have you heard about Cheney’s shooting accident? Now tell me the media is not the fifth column for the left and I will say you are intellectually dishonest or just plain dumb.

THE HYPOCRISY OF IT

I was embarrased for the Democrats at King’s funeral.  The opportunity to politicize even a funeral cannot be left alone.

Lowery said "We know there were no weapons of mass destruction over there, but Coretta knew and we knew there are weapons of misdirection right down here."

Sounds cute but he knows and the press has ignored this .  Something I have said all along.  Giving Saddam four months notice we are coming was stupid.

Jimmy Carter, a democrat, after railing about all the good stuff he did around the world (thought he was there to honor Coretta), then says "It was difficult for them then personally with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretaps."  A wild cheer from the crowd at the funeral erupts. Obviously this message was aimed at Bush about the secret tapping occurring now.

No wonder he was one of the worst President in our history (inflation at 21 percent, unemployment at ____,  gas lines, stopped support for the Shah of Iran which was as democratic as the Middle East got at that time thus allowing the FIRST Alloytoya Khomeni into power that led to the Iran hostages, failed and fatal rescue attempt by piss poor planning and a failed presidency), SO HEY, JIMMY..IN CASE YOU FORGOT, IT WAS YOUR PARTY THAT WIRE TAPPED MARTIN LUTHER KING SECRETLY!!!

Kennedy committed what is widely viewed as one of the most ignominious acts in modern American history: he authorized the Federal Bureau of Investigation to begin wiretapping the telephones of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Kennedy believing that one of King's closest advisers was a top-level member of the American Communist Party, and that King had repeatedly misled Administration officials about his ongoing close ties with the man. Kennedy acted reluctantly, and his order remained secret until May of 1968, just a few weeks after King's assassination and a few days before Kennedy's own. But the FBI onslaught against King that followed Kennedy's authorization remains notorious, and the stains on the reputations of everyone involved are indelible.

Then Ted Kennedy gets up there and the crowd gives him a standing O?   Folks, read the above again.  IT WAS HIS BROTHER ATTACKING CORETTA’S HUSBAND!!!!  My God, the hypocrisy is too damn thick here.

Then the Clintons, the First Black President who sure is the whitest I ever saw, arrived on stage with his wife (or whatever she is to him these days) to a roar from the crowd at the funeral.  Can someone name anyone he placed in a high cabinet position in his eight years that was Black other than Ronald Brown?

And who was a member of the KKK?  Read your history.  Senator Robert K. Bird, a dem!!  But all we heard about from the press was David Duke which the Repubs denounced.  Did the Dems denounce Bird?  Ahem.  I believe he is still a Senator.

Man, some people otta wake up and see how they are being exploited.  If I were “of color”, I think I would be either a Republican or an Independent.  I certainly would NOT be an exploited democrat!!

IS ISLAM A REAL RELGION?

The Muslim rioting throughout Europe and the Middle East lately has piqued my curorsity about Muhammad the Prophet. The more I read the more I wondered about the “Founder” of Islam and, thus, Islam’s authenticity. After all, anyone can proclaim they have been called by God but it’s the actions thereafter that provide the testament to whether or not that “calling” may have occurred or not or so it seems to me.

At the risk of offending a billion or so Muslims practicing Islam, I am seriously curious why a Muslim would think Muhammad was a prophet. From my readings, the background of Muhammad is suspect. There seems to be no doubt he believed he had a calling from God but what God?

On his journeys to Syria and Palestine he became acquainted with Jews and Christians, and acquired an imperfect knowledge of their religion and traditions. Initially, he was a kind man, addicted to prayer and fasting, and was subject to epileptic fits. In his fortieth year (A.D. 612), he claimed to have received a call from the Angel Gabriel, and thus began his active career as the prophet of Allah and the apostle of Arabia.

By his preaching and his attack on heathenism, Mohammed was driven from Mecca to Medina in 622 A.D. At Medina he was recognized as the prophet of God, and his followers increased. He took the field against his enemies, conquered several Arabian, Jewish, and Christian tribes, entered Mecca in triumph in 630, demolished the idols of the Kaaba, became master of Arabia, and finally united all the tribes under one emblem and one religion. In 632 he made his last pilgrimage to Mecca at the head of forty thousand followers, and soon after his return died of a violent fever at 63 years of age. He was buried in a hole and there he remained.

Whereas the Christians have had a Bible from the beginning, Islam didn’t and doesn’t have an original Qur’an. It was made up supposedly from “memory” and a few scraps found under a bed. This was about 150-200 years after Mohammed died.

The word “Islam” does not mean “peace”. It’s a religion of peace”, the news media keeps shouting. But Islam means “submission” not peace. That is a big difference. And from the face of Islam I see today (since no Iman I have seen or heard denounces a damn thing being done by bombers), Islam seems to be a religion of intimidation, fear and murder.

Whereas the “Radicals of Islam” today are killing those of us who disagree with their philosophy on life, so did Muhammad. He killed his enemies and all those who disagreed with him (Sura 9:5).

He also appeared to be a hypocrite. From an Islam site, they state about 1400 years ago, Muhammad said in part….. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.

However, he commanded his adopted son to divorce his wife so that she would become his. (Sura 33:36-38)

And it goes on. The face of Islam we see today seems to mirror Muhammah’s philosphy.

I recently read: Christians & Jewish martyrs say; "I will die for what I believe".
A Muslim martyr says; "Yu will die for what I believe"....

So I ask in all seriousness, why does a Muslim belive Muhammah to be a prophet? And if he wasn’t, then what does that make Islam?

PODCASTING AND RSS

Do you know about these?  If not, you should.  RSS allows me to bring the web news to me rather than having a ton of “favorite” sites in IE or on my desktop.  There are a lot of RSS readers out there but my favorite is FeedDemon.

Podcasting is your own personal radio station.  There are many podcasting programs but my favorite is, again, FeedDemon.  What we have here is an mp3 file that is recorded in any subject that you are interested in.  You can download the mp3 file and listen to it on your computer at your leisure OR you can download it and transfer it to your ipod or any other digital audio player (DAP) and listen to it in your car while stuck in traffic.  Now, traffic is not a bother any more as I have something worth listening to.

My setup works like this:  I have FeedDemon go out to my subscribed sites daily then later that day I read up on my subjects or wait to the weekend and with a cup of “joe”, read my “weekend paper”.  

For radio, I have FeedDemon go out and download the podcasts shows that interest me, then with Windows Media Player sync to my DAP and transfer the shows.  I plug my DAP into an adaptor that uses my cigarette lighter plug and listen to MY radio shows of interest rather than the morning deejays.  As I said, now traffic doesn’t really bother me much anymore.

So there it is briefly.  There is much more to all of this, of course, but if you are not using these, you should.   Believe me the more you get into this the more exciting the possibilities of this technology become clear to you.  

The Net is in Danger

Companies like ATT, COMCAST, BELL COMPANIES are about to destroy the net if they have their way. At least destroy it as we know it. But for them, make it a cash cow so their bonuses and such remain large.
